Retainer won't fit??

Yesterday, I cleaned my retainer with hot water. After that my retainer didnt fit my teeth. The right side was off and left was okay. So i thought it will be okay to still put it on and ask my dentist. But today morning, one of my right tooth hurted. And i dont think i can go to the dentist for a week. Should i keep puting it on or not?
