Should government subsidize college education so that it can be provided with very low tuition?
No, they would have to regulate the entire system first, like they do in Europe (which is government subsidized). But that would entail reworking the entire American educational system, and that would cost billions of dollars. In this system, schools are all held to the same standard, so you would have thousands of schools in the country that you would have to pour money into to get them up to speed. You couldn't just close them because there are too many students in the US. It should be done, but it can only be done from the start, like in Europe, there is no way that we could institute it now.
