Why is it so hard to let him go?

Ok, I have only been in one relationship that lasted 3 years and who I have a son with. I have been talking to this guy for about 4 months. He is sooo cute and he is in college and different then the other low lifes I seem to atract. I know that a relationship will not come from this because he puts any and everything in front of me. Tonight he asked me if i wanted to go to the movies i said yes i will meet him there, he calls me back and tells me to meet me at his house i get there and he and his cousins boiut to go to a lounge. He told me to get my friends and come to, but i didn't want to. This is and all the time thing he always with his friends and cousins. He always leave me hanging. He is sooo cute and cool though how can i get past it an leave him alone
